This notice is for parents/guardians that would like to apply for a privilege seat for September 2017 but did not apply during the first application window. If you have already applied for a privilege seat for September 2017, you WILL NOT need to reapply. If your child is entitled to free transport, you WILL NOT need to apply for a privilege seat.

Dear Parent/Guardian

Should you wish to apply for a privilege seat for your child to travel on a contracted school bus service from September 2017 you will need to apply during the second application window which is between 9am on Monday 3rd July 2017 and 4pm on Tuesday 25th July 2017. 

Please note if your child has previously had a privilege seat in academic year ending July 2017, you will need to reapply. Please be aware that this second round application window is for primary and secondary school aged children only and you will not be able to apply for sixth form students. It is important to note that applications received outside of the application window mentioned will not be accepted.

You can only apply for services listed at the bottom of our webpage. Any applications received for services not listed will be rejected and not added to waiting lists. Further information on the privilege seat process can be found online, here:

Do bear in mind that making an application for a privilege seat does not guarantee a seat on the school bus.

Privilege seat ticket prices are set costs as follows.

-          Up to a full term £95.00

-          Up to half term £47.50

-          Up to a full term AM or PM only £47.50

-          Up to half term AM or PM only £23.75

Forthcoming Closure of Main Road, Newbridge 23-29 June 2017

Please see the details of the closure due to resurfacing works and the diversionary arrangements for the service 403 during this period. Please can you arrange for this information to be communicated to parents/guardians.

Routes 403 AM will operate normal route and times as far as Ningwood Station, then divert via Station Road, A3054 and Gunville to schools.

Routes 403 PM will operate from schools via diversion of Gunville, A3054 and Station Road to re-join normal route at Ningwood Station.  There will be no difference in drop off times from that point onwards.

Christ the King students living in Newbridge

AM:  Students would have to get either to Ningwood Station to meet their normal Route 403 bus at 0828,or if more convenient/appropriate, they would have to get to Calbourne Sun Inn to meet Route 401 at 0832.
PM:  Students would either catch Route 403 and get off at Ningwood Station, or Route 401 and get off at Calbourne Sun Inn. 

Drivers of 401 will be advised to accept 403 passes during this closure.


Bus Diversion - Service 335 - Road Closure - Kings Road, Bembridge

Please see below details of the diversionary arrangements for the service 335 during the closure of Kings Road, Bembridge. The road will be closed from 0900 on Monday 19 June so this will take effect from the afternoon journey. 
Route 335

Will start at Bembridge Crossway at 0720. Operate via Egerton Road, Lane End Road, Foreland Road, round the block at Church Road, High Street, Mill Road, Sandown Road, Marshcombe Shute, Brading, Carpenters Road to commence normal route from St Helens, Vine Inn at 0745.
 

Station Road, St Helens will NOT be served so all students who normally board along this road will need to be informed and will have to make their way to the Vine Inn for 0745.

The PM journey will operate the same in reverse.

Latest Bus Changes

Revised AM Timetable - Service 404

Revised morning timetable for contracted bus service 404 which serves Brook, Mottistone, Brighstone and Shorwell. This will come into effect from Monday 13 June. The reason this has been revised is to improve punctuality along the route and on arrival at Christ the King College.
