Making a successful and happy move from Primary School to Christ the King College
We strive to make the transition from Year 6 to Christ the King College as smooth as possible for our students (and their parents!).
Welcome letter sent to parents, including transition plan (end of Spring Term).
Welcome letter sent to new students (end of Spring Term).
Primary information request, transition plans sent to primary schools (Summer Term).
Invite to Open Evening sent to parents (Summer Term).
Students invited to Year 6 transition days (Summer Term).
All students to be visited at their primary school by the Transition Leader and Annual Reviews attended where possible.
Student visits to various primary schools (Spring/Summer Term).

Meet Principal/Assistant Principal/Transition Manager/Phase Leader/ Head of Year 7/Year 7 Form Tutors
Receive induction pack (including timetable, transition booklet etc.)
Question and answer session
Informal meetings over refreshments
Current students to meet and greet (modelling correct uniform)
Chance to arrange College uniform appointments.
Transition Days (end of the Summer Term)
Students meet their Form Group and Form Tutor
Students experience a variety of lessons
