Christ the King College students sing out for success!
Both the Junior and Senior choirs from Christ the King College did an excellent job on Friday morning performing at the IW Music Festival Competition, at Newport Minster.
Although in their individual categories they weren't competing against other choirs, Junior Choir was given 84 marks (Commendation) and Senior Choir was given 87 marks (Distinction). In the category where the two choirs performed together they were given 85 marks and a Commendation, although lost out on winning that category to Kitbridge by just one mark. As always, it was more about the experience than winning trophies, but it was still nice to bring two back! Most importantly they sang really well and were impeccably behaved. The students were not even fazed by the pigeons flying around inside the Minster!
