Global Rock Success

~Tuesday 2nd March 2010~

Ninety three Year 7, 8 and 9 students went to Southampton Guildhall to take part in this year’s event. Their theme was “Che Guevara”.  Six schools took part in this stage of the challenge with Christ the King College coming third overall and taking the Hampshire Health Personal and Well Being Award for Drama Skills and the Southampton Healthy Schools Award for Concept Originally.

Accompanying the students where Mrs Bachelor – choreographer, Mrs Doughty, Miss Gard, and Mrs Harris (a parent), Mr Lisseter drove the mini-bus full of props & costumes. 

Mr. Gale & Mrs. Charlton were recognized with an award for their commitment and involvement with the UK Rock Challenge for the past 10 years.
All who took part rose to the challenge of a long, enjoyable and tiring but rewarding day.
